These armchairs have gone from old and dingy to va va va voom!
I love making over old armchairs. I think armchairs are highly under-rated, but think about it, they are often where we sit with a nice cuppa and a good book. A blanket on our lap, or perhaps a cat. Having some comfy armchairs around makes a home so inviting.
Here are some before and after photos of some Art Deco chairs I’ve given new life too. All with the help of my fave upholsterer, Mike at Taradale Fine Furniture.

But check out how they looked when I first aquired them. Ugh!
Boy they were ugly!
I like to choose fabrics which give chairs an authentic note, like the Art Deco fabric design on the finished chairs above, but with a modern twist.
